PAS central committee member Datuk Husam Musa said the party was always open to receive any other former party members, including Datuk Zaid Ibrahim who confirmed to be out of PKR.Husam, who is also State Assemblyman Salor said PAS was offered a place on the party, but Zaid refused because Zaid is more likely to join PKR.
"He (Zaid) was an adult when he want to go any party ... dulupun we offer him in PAS, he refused, but it's up to him of any party he is going to go," he said after being interviewed by Bernama via Hello Malaysia at Wisma Bernama, Kuala Lumpur.
Zaid, who is also former head of the Federal Territory PKR, today officially expressed its intention to withdraw from the party."It is true that I will leave the party but I have not submitted an official form to another," Zaid wrote in his blog this afternoon.He said, "everything will be settled" when he issued a statement on Friday.
Commenting on the defeat of PAS in the hands of Umno elections 4 November and bearing assembly, which holds the exco Husam Economic Planning, Finance and Welfare of Kelantan, said the party was to accept defeat with an open heart, but PAS gives special attention to the BN after this.
"BN seems happy with this success, but more importantly, how to strategize BN face the next general election, the more we (PAS) fear," he said.
In the election, candidates Zulkefli Pass Dr Mohamad lost to BN candidate, Abdul Aziz Yusoff, with a majority of 1.190 votes.
